Mini Metro

Mini Metro Is a Minimalist Puzzle Game You Can’t Put Down

Whenever I find myself in a major city, I’m always fascinated by its metro system. Whether it’s London, Paris, Istanbul, Beijing, or Seoul, it never gets old. There’s something magical about being able to travel from one side of a sprawling city to the other in just minutes using a fast and efficient transport system. Honestly, what’s better than that?

Build Your Own Metro Network

But what if you could design that metro system yourself, using the iconic visual style we all recognize from transit maps? That’s exactly what Mini Metro by Dinosaur Polo Club is all about, and it’s incredibly addictive.

Each game starts simple, with just three stations. From there, it’s up to you to connect them by drawing metro lines. Stations are represented by different shapes, and passengers carry matching symbols. Your job is to create efficient routes so that everyone gets where they need to go without the system collapsing into chaos.

Chaos Is Inevitable

And that chaos creeps in faster than you’d expect. Stations quickly fill up with waiting passengers, forcing you to constantly adapt. You’ll need to add extra lines, increase train capacity, or upgrade stations to keep everything running smoothly. Every decision you make has a ripple effect on the rest of your network.

Thankfully, each session is relatively short. Most runs last somewhere between fifteen and thirty minutes, making it the perfect game to jump into whenever you have some time to spare.

Perfect on PC and Mobile

I played Mini Metro on PC using a mouse, which works brilliantly. But the game is also available on mobile platforms for a very low price. For just a couple of euros, you can own it on iOS or Android, and the replay value is enormous. There are daily challenges to complete, and each major city comes with its own level where you can shape a unique metro system. It’s a simple concept, but executed perfectly.

A Timeless Design

Mini Metro is one of those games that never really gets old. Its minimalist yet instantly recognizable design gives it a timeless quality. It’s the kind of game you keep coming back to every few days or weeks, just to play another round.

I already know I’ll be diving back into building metro networks again soon. There’s something incredibly satisfying about it.
