So Disney Plus is here. At least in The Netherlands. A new VOD-competitor in a market that is quickly becoming a little bit crowded. The Walt Disney Company is one of the largest media conglomerates that actually dares to enter the VOD-market with its own streaming platform. Dog Day Afternoon is a 1975 classic piece of film by director Sidney Lumet. It is often referenced as being the classic example of a perfect heist movie. Al Pacino plays the main character Sonny Wortzik in this movie, which is inspired by a robbery on a Brooklyn bank by John Wojtowicz (Sonny) and Salvatore Naturale (John Cazale) in 1972.
